To complete you build you need a set of Stepper Motors, Controllers, PSU, Wires and Connectors (most of this can be found in this shop) as well as a spindle and holder, spoil board,

A little background

The makerCARVER move the future into your workshop!

With a CNC in your workshop you are able to translate drawings in your computer to real world items in your workshop. The movements of a CNC is controlled by a computer and can perform highly intricate maneuvers over and over again with hige precision. The makerCARVER is ideal for working in materials like wood, plastic, carbon fiber & aluminum. It is a critical machine in any manufacturing factory, or research and development lab. We here at Makersupplies think it’s a tool that will be found in every workshop and home garage in the future.

Our ambition

We wanted to create the an easy to build, affordable, accurate and fast CNC machine that could make automated manufacture available to everyone. We wanted a design that was modular, one that could be taken apart changed upgraded and modify. Based on Openbuilds part and inspired by opensource designs like the OX by Mark Carew and it predecessors we made our interpretation - the makerCARVER.

We worked closelz with several students from local universities on the design, assembly manuals etc to come up with a design that we feel fulfill the ambition. All documentation can be found on Openbuilds.

Our product

The makerCARVER X” by X” with a cutting area of X” x X”. We have added extra wheels and used the same dual belt configuration as used in the Stainless OX. 

The kit is easy to assemble and comes with a detailed assembly manual. All holes and rails are pre-tapped and wires that need soldering are soldered. For your convenience we also glued the lower belt for the dual belts. So assembly should be a breeze and you can be up running your first project fast.

We plan to add a dust shoe and laser head to the machine soon.
